School Safety
An environment that is conducive to learning is one that is safe, respectful, and healthy. Our school division addresses these needs in a variety of ways.
We work closely with a number of local agencies to ensure student safety, including the Charlottesville Police Department and its DARE program, the Thomas Jefferson Health District, and our local Safe Schools, Healthy Students grant initiative.
Many initiatives are a part of our curriculum or the daily classroom practices. Each school has particular methods in creating a safe school climate.
