Johnson African American Heritage Nights February 27 and 28
Johnson African American Heritage Celebrations. Johnson families are invited to come celebrate the achievements of great African Americans.
All-City Choral Festival Concert February 29
Come hear choir students from different schools sing together in the All-City Choral Festival Concert. Starts at 7 p.m. in the Martin Luther King Jr. Performing Arts Center at CHS. All welcome.
CHS Winter Sports Banquet February 29
Student athletes and guests get together and celebrate achievements from the winter sports season. Banquet begins at 6 p.m. at CHS.
Venable Read Across America Week February 27 - March 2
During library time all week, classes will have guest readers from the community sharing their favorite children's stories. Wednesday will be Venable's vocabulary word parade. On Friday (actual Read Across America Day), older students will be matched with younger students for a "Read-In" in the morning where they read with one another (4th reads to 1st, 3rd reads to K). Second graders will have a special reader's theater assembly from the high school drama department.
